The Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA) is the professional Association serving state drinking water programs. Formed in 1984 to address a growing need for state administrators to have national representation, ASDWA has become a respected voice for state primacy agents with Congress, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other professional organizations.

Department of Community and Economic Development Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) : The RCA (AS 42.04, 42.05, 42.06, and other statutes) regulates public utilities by certifying qualified providers of public utility and pipeline services; and ensuring that they provide safe and adequate services and facilities at just and reasonable rates, terms, and conditions. This keeps rates as low as possible while allowing the utility to earn a fair return.

Department of Community and Economic Development Rural Utility Business Assistance (RUBA) : Through the RUBA Program, management assistance and financial training related to water and wastewater utilities is provided to cities and villages.

The Groundwater Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and motivating people to care for and about groundwater.

National Rural Water Association's (NRWA) is a non-profit federation of State Rural Water Associations. The NRWA mission is "to provide our state associations with support services to meet the needs of their membership."

The National Science Foundation (NSF) funds research and education in science and engineering through grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements to more than 2,000 colleges, universities and other research and/or education institutions in all parts of the United States. The Foundation accounts for about 20 percent of federal support to academic institutions for basic research.
